People trying to lose weight is not an uncommon thing these days because we have all got so many extra calories which never get used up and ultimately form fats and get deposited in our body. But to lose 50 pounds in 2 months is no kids play by any means. People go on this kind of weight loss spree only when either they are getting married or their best friend is getting married or when they are so severely diabetic that the doctor gives an ultimatum to lose weight before they lose something else. I know that you all have been trying as hard as you can to lose 50 pounds in two months but it’s now well over two months. But you don’t have to worry now because if nothing’s worked for you till now, we’ll make something work for you. If you can promise to follow the instructions here, we can promise that you’ll lose 50 pounds in two weeks. Let us go week by week.
Week one – time to give up all junk food has arrived. No more burgers, fries, pizzas, tacos etc for you. No more aerated cola drinks, beer and packed juices for you. All oily and fatty foods slow down the rate of metabolism and thereby make you fat and sluggish. Exercise routine begins with 15 minutes of jogging and 15 minutes of cycling every day.
Week Two – The exercise schedule of the first week is to be modified and jogging and cycling both to be increased by 5-10 minutes each. Your breakfast now is to be replaced with sprouts and a small bowl of yoghurt. Start drinking lemon juice mixed with a teaspoonful of honey after workout.
Third Week – Jogging and cycling stays where it was last week and now we add half an hour of weight training exercises every day. Join the local gym and consult the instructor about what all weight training exercises he can coach you on. Divide your three meals a day into 5-6 lighter meals spread across the day. Start playing a game of baseball or basketball or tennis in the evening to make sure that your body keeps burning calories till late in the night. Include high protein items like fish, lean chicken, sprouts etc to fulfill your body’s protein requirements and also to repair any damage caused due to workout.
Fourth Week – everything from the third week remains as it is. If you feel comfortable, increase the weight training routine by another 15 minutes a day. Fourth week is all about adapting a detox diet. Start eating 8-10 glassfuls of water every day and eat only fresh and boiled vegetables. No more frozen foods from now onwards.
Fifth Week – Increase the weight training exercise time to an hour every day from this week onwards. Start alternating between egg white and sprouts for breakfast and replace your brunch time meal with fresh fruits.
Sixth Week – The real test of your will power to lose 50 pounds in two weeks begins now. Now you will go on an absolute detox diet. NO more oil for you, only boiled vegetables and fresh fruits for you. Have some fish and sprouts in the day to make for protein requirements of the body. Make that lemon juice thrice a day from just once.
Seventh Week – This week marks the beginning of newer ways of burning calories and making your detox diet as effective as it could be. Although the signs of weight loss are already showing up in your body, you need to calm down your mind and body because it has been meted out to a schedule and routine that it is not used to for longer than it could take. Join a yoga training class or bring home a vcd on how to do it.
Eighth Week – Well, compare yourself in the mirror with what you were two months back. Time to take a week long holiday and give your body a steam and sauna bath everyday along with the routine and schedules of the previous weeks remaining as it is.
It is not as difficult as you think to lose 50 pounds in 2 months provided you are determined to just do it.
